Do you consider McCain to be one of Hillary's most trusted friends? Do you think Hillary and McCain need to "hide out" together? That would explain why she was campaigning for him during the Primaries.
I think what you meant to say was that Hillary would take McCain "to the mat", which is a wrestling term for taking down your opponent.

BTW: When has Hillary ever "brought down" a Republican? What single issue has she "fought for" against strong Republican opposition since she has been in the Senate?
