even the democrats here are pretty conservative. so i don't totally discredit the lack of experience excuse. add to that that obama is from illinois and biden is from delaware. the general population here seems to distrust people they consider outsiders. they didn't like kerry either but really hated bush so they bit the bullet and voted for kerry. they don't seem to hate mccain the way they hated bush tho.
