I saw the interview. Frankly, he was a bit embarrassed because Letterman had Michael Moore on a bit just before McCain's interview where Big Mike took McCain to task on bitching about the movie he never saw. Mike even offered to take McCain to the nearby theater... Letterman had mentioned he saw the movie and thought it was provocative...

McCain wasn't too bad except when he started pimping Chimpy and shit. Stale, Johnny. Very stale.

He's a confused, used man.
