25. More

Age could be older. Later 30's - If this is true.

Hope it helps someone in Atlanta identify this guy.

It is a very nice letter. When I was right out of college working for a Congressman I wrote about ten of them a day just like this one. We had a printed form called a buck slip. When we got a letter on an issue in the purview of a particular department, we would address the form to the Congressional liaison office for that department and enclose the constituent letter. We would send a letter to the constituent telling them we had done this, and would follow up when we got the agency response. About 50% of what we handled, and this is back in 1981, could be boiled down to "Where's my check?" About 45% was issue oriented spam generated by interest groups - the same letter from every member of xyz association in our district on their pet bill. Those were sooo touching in their sincerity. About 3% was from certifiable nut balls, my specialty. And the rest were from thoughtful concerned citizens on issues of the day. One of the best was a letter protesting food stamp "cuts" (reductions in increases) that was written on a paper plate and delivered by the USPS. It was semi-literate, but had great passion, eloquence and brevity. Is this a great country, or what?

Yuk. I need a shower now.
