Reply #87: Obama tries so hard to be a decent human being

He deserves a world of credit for that. I liked the relatively ordinary gift he got Gordon Brown, I like that Michelle brought Laura Bush a present, I like that the Obama's would have preferred a shelter dog, I like that Obama likes to have a burger and fries, and I like that he's willing to be a real person rather than a plastic president. But, the risk of being real is that real people occasionally say stupid things. As long as Obama continues to handle himself honestly and sincerely, I think the American people will forgive his occasional fopah.
