30. I think it's unfair to compare Nazis who randomly murders people for no reason with US soldiers
who engaged in unsavory acts with people they were told would tell them how to stop another 9-11 attack. It's not a defense of the act, but there was a mindset for these soldiers that they were working within the limits of the law, that they were under orders to help protect this country from more americans getting killed. There could be a case that they were scared enough and worked up enough to feel the ends justified the means. You assume that these soldiers took pleasure in what they did, we don't know that, mostly likely some of them didn't. But to compare them to Nazi's who killed people, herded human beings into camps and slaughtered them by the thousands just because their commander told them that Jews were worthless and undeserving to live and they agreed with him, to compare them to US soldiers that did what they did out of a misguided attempt to protect american lives is not same and is unfair.

The people who created these loopholes, the policy makers and the ones in a position to give the commands and tell them to stop, these are the ones that need to be brought to justice. Most likely those soldiers today feel badly and have to live with what they did and have to ask themselves everyday "should i have disobeyed that order and said no i wont do that!"
