38. I love Jerry Brown. He is an old school liberal. But he may face some problems...

First, no one under 30 remembers that he was governor.

Second, he ended his tenure as governor just when the Culture Wars were burgeoning; he's the poster child for what the wingnuts hate about liberals in California. I fear that some of that will come into play.

Third, people will wonder what he did as Oakland's mayor. Though he is well loved, what exactly is his record of accomplishments in Oakland?

Fourth, a Jerry Brown candidacy will bring out the worst in right wing lunacy.

Fifth, he's not a part of the Democratic Establishment. I hate DiFi and want her to be defeated, but I can see a scenario where the Establishment will come to her aid, and the corporate powers that be will make sure she is wins. She needs to stay in the Senate or leave politics.
