8. Hastert's Safe...But...
One reason is the poorly organized Democratic party in Kane County. While there's a large and growing black and hispanic population in that county (Aurora should be a goldmine), the GOOP is as strong there as in any county in the Chicago area. It'd be nice to see Mr. Speaker get spanked with only 55, not 65 percent of the vote.

Hyde is expected to retire and while I don't think he's going to lose, either, the election in 2 years is another story. Again, there's large numbers of hispanics that have moved into the district and can be organized...along with the growing number of us city kids who are now "booming" out in the burbs.

Crane is the most vulnerable. He only had 54% of the vote last time and is all but transparent from the district these days. Here's a classic case of "Washington Rot" as this parasite has been in Washington for nearly 35 years and does little for this district. He doesn't bring pork home...had little seniority or respect in his own party and is strictly a vote that is sold to the highest bidder.

The revolt of the moderate Repugnicans...who, if they think Bunnypant won't carry Illinois and don't want to vote for Keyes, will stay home, and if there's enough of those non-votes, in addition to a strong get out the vote effort in this area, this seat is very, very takeable this year.

Cheers!
