Obama to visit Kokomo next week

Kokomo — President Obama and Vice President Joe Biden are coming to Kokomo Tuesday, according to multiple reliable sources.

Plans include the president and vice president landing at Grissom Air Reserve Base in Bunker Hill. The official reason for the visit and an itinerary have not yet been announced.

WNDU-TV in South Bend first reported the visit just after 11 a.m. Thursday. Sources said Secret Service personnel were in Kokomo Wednesday doing advance scouting for the visit.

The Kokomo Tribune will have more information as it becomes available.
