3. I read that this morning and was intending to post on it
I found that to be quite shocking.

But first let me say this: For a long time there has been growing distaste for the two parties. Unfortunately the Democrats in power have not adequately represented the people of Louisiana. I personally registered about 150 new voters before the November election. The VAST majority of those chose to select "none" as their party affiliation. I believe that this is by no cooincidence. The Democrats have let the people of this state down.

I have spoken to democrats in other parts of the state that are in economic decline that were very excited about the prospect of having such an accomplished businessman lead our state party. Of course, I expressed my concerns about what I perceived to be his conflicts of interest. Despite my concerns, the fact is Bernhard is our Democratic Leader in Louisiana. He's just gotten started and although we have concerns, I'd like to see what he can do. I figure, we're kinda stuck with him at this point, so we can either work against him, in turn by doing nothing. Or hear him out and support his mission by getting organized and active. I choose the latter.

And down the road, if we feel he's done the state party an injustice, as the previous leaders did, let's let our outrage be heard and call for his resignation. But UNTIL then, I feel an urgency to try to move this party forward in any way I can. At this time, that way is to get organized and active.
