21. It was just a suggestion....

My mom, as a former Air Force wife, had to make special trips when they closed all the Air Force bases in Austin.

Once every few months, she'd drive down to San Antonio (100 miles or so) with an ice chest in the back of her car, and stock up at the commisary and BX at Randolph AFB.

Texas is a big state, people do lots of crazy things without even thinking of distance sometimes.
