You're right on the House of Commons, too...it was to protect Emperor Bunnypants from those mean hecklers.

It's the same as the situation with the NAACP a while back: they were "critical" of Bush, so he refused to talk to the NAACP. Bush got heckled in Australia, so he's going to "punish" any potential rapscallions in Canada in advance. Yeah, I know, it makes no sense to you, just like it makes no sense to me, but it makes perfect sense to our High Lord Emperor Bunnypants II.

Everywhere he goes it's that "my way or the highway" crap. Ironically, that's half the reason the Freepers love him...he just smirks and struts his way through the world, making enemies everywhere he goes with that spoiled prep school "kiss my ass" attitude.
