Another request to write to Conyers re: delaying electors in Ohio

I don't think this has been posted but came from Mark Crispin Miller:

From P. Glass:

Write to Conyers to DELAY meeting of electoral college Ohio electors (scheduled to meet in Columbuson December 13) until every county recount results are concluded. The meeting of "electors" is an illegal meeting until the will of the people in Ohio has been determined.
January 6 is the date the NEW Senate (inludes Obama)receives the electoral votes and declares the name of the next president.
Until certified January 6- the outcome of the 2004 election has not been not completed. Write your senator not to permit Jan 6
certification without satisfactorily completed recounts.

(Remember watching the movie F9-11- the painful scene when Black Caucus could not get one senator to object to certification of 2000 election.. think Senator Barack Obama (D IL)

Keep writing!!

Addendum from pmk:

If members of the Senate and the House declare their intent to reject electors appointed pursuant to ANY discriminatory or doubful election they put EVERY state on notice. The following paragraphs are from the "Declaration of Intent" that we're asking members to publicly endorse:

There can be no arbitrary point in time -- whether it be a date scheduled for appointing electors, electoral voting, or electoral vote counting -- that can limit the right of the People to have their consent justly measured and expressed. An election is a survey not a contest.

With these principles in mind I would urge the duly authorized election officials in each and every state to make every effort -- whether it be ballot recounting, independent auditing, reopening voting, or even judicially-sanctioned statistical adjustment of results -- to assure that their election truly reflects the will of the citizens of their state.

See thedeanpeople.com for the entire declaration and Hearing Dustup:

You Heard it Here First to find out what happened regarding the declaration when it was brought up at the Conyers hearings.
