He could have been concerned with the drive not spinning up again. but charging? no.
They said this a 14 year old pc?. Thats ancient. Not real flexible. I'd guess some sort of simple wireless IO device plugged into the serial port that the cpu would think was a keyboard.
but so the story goes.
Whats the difference between a computer salesman and a used car dealer? The used car salesmen knows when he's lying. The techie needs to qualify his statement.
