44. The RW control the media, but i bet the media hates the RW...
It's obvious that the media treads lightly when it comes to reporting negative stories (the truth) about Bush and the RW. This administration is venomous and demanding with the press. If they ask tough, fair questions--they are denied access and interviews with key WH players evaporate.

There have been countless stories of the WH calling up reporters and telling them that they were unhappy with coverage. Michael Moore reported that a "Today" journalist told him that Cheney wrote a personal letter to the journalist's boss. Cheney indicated that he "didn't like the reporter's tone". The journalist was admonished and told to change. GEEEZ!

Journalism is a for-profit business. BushCo blackmails the media--you cover us positively and you get the stories and the ratings. You displease us and you will suffer.

I imagine, that even though the media kow tows to these thugs--that they hate them with a white-hot passion.

I agree with the other posters that the media is waiting for iron-clad proof of fraud before they cover the story seriously. Part of that is due to Rathergate, but most of it is due to BushCo's blackmailing of the press.
