27. Yes, she explained it to them

She said the initial question about the gathering came from a 16-year-old Japanese girl who found a protest sign with a picture of a penis amusing. She wondered if San Diego was holding some kind of celebration of fertility.

Thousands of people here in San Diego were disenfranchised when they wrote in Donna Frye's name but neglected to fill in the bubble.

A stupid technicality, I'm sure.

I wrote in Donna Frye and filled in the bubble. In my opinion anyone who didn't fill in the bubble screwed up. Whether or not they deserve to get their ballot counted is a question for the courts to resolve. I lean toward not rewarding stupidity.

If your friend is truly a teacher, they would show the *entire* story. Not just the fact that someones sign has a "sexual innuendo".

Learn to read. She's not a teacher, she's an administrator, specifically the Host Family Coordinator. Her job is to place students safely into qualified homes in San Diego for the six to eight weeks they are here to attend English class and learn by immersion. One of her biggest problems is parents finding out that their young ones have gotten themselves into trouble or compromising situations like the Ukranian girl who recently stole a car then got deported. She likes to keep things low key.

No harm was done.

DICK DICK DICK DICK DICK

It doesn't change a damn thing. VOTER RIGHTS!

Voters need to take care of themselves sometimes. Failing to properly complete the ballot doesn't cut it, and making fun of the mayor won't get the election overturned.
