36. The "SBVT", as you call it (you seem to know a lot about it),
appeared tainted from the very beginning. Perhaps they should have started an organization that didn't have (a large part of) its origins in Texas.

Go ahead and bask in the glow of the little victory over CBS. Before that, when I would read republican-oriented sites, all I ever heard was "the networks are obsolete and irrelevant nowadays" and "nobody watches them anymore". So I doubt CBS's demise is quite as important as the faithful little people imagine.

What about the content of the "forged documents"? Funny how no one ever got around to asking whether it was true or not. A secretary who typed some of the real, original correspondence came out and said the content was accurate.

The fact is, George W. Bush's handlers, from way back when he first ran for office, knew that his SORRY, PATHETIC military record would be a stumbling block to his success. Now, running against Ann Richards, they didn't have to worry too much--they just started a false rumor that she was a lesbian, and that false rumor served them well. But later, Bush found himself running against John McCain. So his handlers trashed McCain's military record. It was at that point that it became apparent to many that the republicans are the ANTI-VETERAN party. The Bush slime machine was, therefore, well in gear by the time it came time to trash Al Gore's service record. They were old hands at trashing legitimate war veterans by the time they went up against Kerry. If General Patton came back to life and ran against George W. Bush, I'm sure we'd be told (and some naive sheep would believe) that HIS military record was really not all that good compared to George W. Bush's fearless military service. Yes, defending Alabama against Red Blount's senate opponent was truly a fearless military feat on the part of the brave George "Dubya". What a warrior... NOT!

This adminstration is clearly very anti-veteran: look at how they treated Powell, the one major member of it who actually had real military service.

Where was Donald Rumsfeld during Vietnam? WHERE WAS DICK CHENEY during Vietnam? (Answer: too busy appearing to answer DUI charges, to worry about serving his country.)

I don't believe a word that the fanatic, revenge-getting, John O'Neill says.

If you don't believe that having Bush as its candidate is causing the republican party to lose support big-time, let me tell you, I do. I am one of those it lost. There are many others like me. I know this to be a fact b/c I've met many, many people who are as disgusted as I am with republicans.
