15. What the BOE person meant about the mix-up due to rulings...
There had been a successful lawsuit to have provisional ballots counted even if they were cast in the wrong precinct, just so long as the voter voted in the correct county. However, that ruling was overturned at the last minute. I think it wasn't announced until after voting was underway on the 2nd. Thus, poll workers could have mistakenly accepted ballots in the wrong precinct without realizing they were doing anything wrong. Of course, the question then becomes: WHY didn't the BOE make sure EVERYONE knew?

Fritz will probably find your letter offensive, which makes me smile. It's about time someone knocked him down a peg or two. He has written some pretty smug columns over the years.
