And go a long wayss! I believe in getting my moneys worth out of a car--hence the 94 Tbird (Big Red) with 200,000+. I had a 1986 Oldsmobile Cutlass Calais(The Old Gray Mare) that I drove 298,000 before she (rest her soul) died. I had a party planned at 300,000,lol. Seriously--if you can drive around town without difficulty--stalling, etc...I would say go for it. Trust me--I do alot of driving--a car will give you more problems in town with starts and stops than it will on the open road so that is a good indicator if you aren't having problems. Take it to a full service gas station-fill up with a high grade gas--ask them to check all of your fluids--make sure you mention you are driving it for a trip. I have always found as a lady that the mechanics at the station will tell you if they have reservations about taking it on a trip. Its a good way to get a little peace of mind advice without paying someone to put it on a rack.
