According to the dust jacket, The Flight from Truth has won:

  • the Chateaubriand Prize (Paris, 1988)
  • the Jean-Jacques Rousseau Prize (Geneva, 1989)
  • and the Konrad Adenauer Prize (Bonn, 1990)
