26. I used to be a Christian
I wanted emperical evidence, and you and I both know that just isn't part of Christianity, or any religion. That's fine - I just don't want any infringements on my liberty to not believe.

But I know what you mean - Jesus was a Socialist, and the early Christian church was Socialist (more like Communist) until Paul. Then it went into a splintering, and eventually Constantine declared it illegal to be any religion but his specific version of Christianity. And his 'interpretation' was not socialist. It was divine right of kings all the way.

For me - as long as you and I share the same ethical foundations (golden rule, do onto others, acceptance and respect of diversity) then that's all I need.
