7. I Have Trouble With Reincarnation (Ghosts Too)
because I see the 'soul' as an entity that exists outside the bounds of the physical universe. I have a hard time believing that a soul could remain oriented to the rotating, revolving earth within a solar system that is itself rotating and revolving about the center of our galaxy, which is itself moving away from other galaxies.

I do believe, however, that a plausible explanation for ghosts and past-life memories will be found in quantum mechanics one day. I believe it's possible that physical structures - especially those constructed from silicon-bearing materials like brick and mortar - can retain some vestige of energy from previous inhabitants. This may constitute a primitive semiconductor for this energy, which gets reflected back in a manner analogous to a hologram. Sensitive individuals may be able to pick up these vibrations and interpret them as ghosts or past-life memories.

Of course, no present-day instrumentation can measure this energy, but I believe it will happen some day. If some 'angel' wants to finance me, I'd be more than happy to research the phenomenon.
