Tiger's swing mechanics are in awful shape. Mechanical is the word. He was very fluid under Butch Harmon but with Hank Haney it looks forced and stiff. I'm sure this result will lead to speculation about Tiger divorcing from Haney.

Very typical for a team or athlete to do much better in the first outing after an injury or crisis than later on, once reality settles. I remember posting that after the first round of the Masters. Hard to believe Tiger was such a big favorite over Phil this week in the head to head betting matchup. Easy pickings.

Next week will be interesting at the Players. Tiger fares poorly on that course and it's the first chance Johnny Miller will have to call an event after Tiger's situation.
