It's more like the curse of successful college football. You end up with players who develop a sense of entitlement, fostered liberally by supporters who "just want to be nice" to them. I never liked Bomar, and in this case, my gut was telling me the truth.

I'm simply glad they booted him off the team rather than try to cover it up. And on that note, I've become more than a little pissed at the national sports commentators criticizing OU's program for "allowing" this to happen. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Quite obviously they didn't "allow" it. When the discovered it, they stopped it, by kicking off the team the person who was supposedly the key to a good season. Switzer wouldn't have done that. It likely never would have crossed his mind as an option.
