I hate being a position to defend the guy, but he's better coming out college, to me, than Vick was. Yeah, he needs a lot of work, but I feel he has a lot more potential than Orton.

And you have to be careful with the numbers game. The Pats are also last, or close to it, in numerous defensive categories but they keep winning. A few weeks ago we spoke about the Jets offense, and you correctly pointed out that their running game had been good. Yet they still lost, and have had a handful of games where they scored less than 10 points. In that same thread I talked about the Pats defense being shaky, but since the 3rd quarter of the Lions game on Turkey Day the Pats have outscored their opponents 106 to 10. Going strictly by the numbers has burned us both, because there's a spirit that has to be accounted for. Some people have it and some don't. I don't like Tebow's politics, but if I was a player he'd come across as a better leader than Orton would to me, and I think Tebow has that certain fire to him that may make him a better QB than Orton.

Just my opinion, and if you look at how good I'm picking games this year you know how seriously to take it. :)
