Eskimo in 17 days. The first sign was his refusal to eat his dinner on a Friday night. I took him to the vet's the next morning...his gums were very pale. He was diagnosed that day and treatment with steroids began. We couldn't get his red-cell and platelets back up and he died 16 days later. He had never been sick or required the attention of a vet in the prior 8 1/2 years. It was awful!
