I hope you do not work in the health care industry.

FWIW, I currently care for my aging parents. My parents cared for all four of my grandparents. My maternal grandparents cared for all four of ther parents. Because of those committments I have fond memories of my greatgrandparents and grandparents. Yes, they were aged and in failing health. So what? That did not make them a burden.

Of course, there is an argument to be made that if one thinks they are a burden they become one.
