GUATEMALA CITY — Explosive eruptions shook two huge volcanos in Central and South America on Friday, forcing thousands of people to flee their homes and disrupting air traffic as ash drifted over wide regions.

Guatemala's Pacaya volcano started erupting lava and rocks on Thursday afternoon, blanketing the country's capital with ash and forcing the closure of the international airport. President Alvaro Colom declared a "state of calamity."

I believe that I'd mentioned volcanism in the post I also mentioned November containing some sort of large SNAP or CRAKK. I know that FL and others here have also mentioned possible volcanic activities.

Edit: Yesterday while watching The Price is Right with the flatmates, I got some 9 out of 11 "good or bad/yes no" issues correct. In other words, pick the box or the curtain?
