12. I 've had a few memories, some were not terribly fun.
I have always been quite loyal to whoever I am with. As a product of the late 70's and 80's I was viewed as being kind of old fashioned for my views on fidelity, actually. I have never had any interest in other men whenever I was seeing someone--it just didn't feel right to me.

____

In one past life memory I was a woman in China. My husband was convinced I was having an affair with a man from another village. In the memory he was chasing me and he knocked me into a ditch then began beating me.

I watched my own blood drip into the dirt. I knew I was dying and I felt each blow (the impact--not the pain of it, thankfully.) I also knew that my husband was wrong--that I'd not had an affair. I had only returned another man's smile in the market...

_____

I am terrified of heights. Literally, I am the kind of person that can't deal with towers or skyscrapers except from the bottom.

______
Another memory:

I was someplace out in what is now the western US, and I was a teen boy. I was walking along some bluff or high bank with a fairly long drop to a creek.

I remember looking up and seeing large group of people running toward me and they were all screaming in some language I didn't know. Some wore beaded buckskins and feathers while others did not.

I saw they were splattered with what looked like blood and I was afraid. I jumped off the bluff to get away and I died when I hit the bottom.

-------

I seriously think that a lot of our phobias and fears in this life are directly related to what we have lived before. Call it cellular memory or call it the eternity of the human soul--either way-- we do not forget when we die.

I'm working now on why I am so incredibly claustrophobic. Somehow I expect this one to be the worst of them all...
