The Red Cross and its Islamic cousin, the Red Crescent, could soon be joined by a Red Crystal. The move is an attempt to create a neutral emblem in an age of growing religious strife, in which aid workers have been attacked and the Red Cross headquarters in Baghdad bombed.

I associate the Red Cross with Switzerland more than Christianity, since it's based on the inverted Swiss flag, but the "crystal" looks quite smart.

This is, incidentally, not a concession to atheists - it's to bring the Israeli Red Cross in line with the international movement.

(PS can you imagine how freaked fundies will be to hear the Red Cross is being "replaced" with the "Red Square"?!)
