You and I have been constituents for a long time and have seen the fortitude of which you speak. (Gawd, I used to hear Kerry described by local wise guys as being like one of those kid's punching bags that are filled with sand so they always pop up again. Guy won't stay down for the count. Always pops back up.)
That article today was very interesting. Kerry is obviously building bridges with Dean. The suspect Newsweek article said that Kerry was very interested in building up the grassroots and was fascinated with the possibilities that grassroots organizing presents. This is great stuff, not just for Kerry but for all Dems. We have the leaders sharing some info, starting to get on the same page, trying to figure out how to engage the rank and file. That's why I'm happy. This is good news! This is how you start to build winning coalitions, not by whining about each other but by trying to get together and share info.
I am not mindlessly happy (couldn't help myself.) There are reasons for this.
