He's been a sleeper RWer for 50 years, pretending to be a very liberal congressmen. This is no different that the geniuses who think that Kerry has always been in league with the Bushes and only pretended to fight the RW. (I actually suspect the plot is even more devious these far LW people who think none Democrats are plants are really plants themselves working to install distrust of LW leaders among the LW.
(This goes for the Laroche people - who were claiming that only they are the true descendants of FDR.
