Reading Kos on this is weird - It hurts my head that they bashed Kerry for not being the 1971 Kerry for the last 3 years, yet they lavish praise on Webb who hates the 1971 Kerry. They expect people to think Webb was wonderful for going to Vietnam for a few years to bring companies in - likely for great monetary reward, but ignore that it was Kerry more than anyone else who made that possible.
Their conjecture of a Kerry/Webb reconciliation ignores the fact that the hatred only seemed to go one way. Only one of them need say they are sorry - and he is too blinded by needing to assume that the US effort he was involved with was a force for good. If he didn't see the parallels when he found himself against the Iraq war, it's unlikely he ever will.
Straw polls, like intenet polls are susceptible to manipulation. When will they learn Teddy Roosevelt was a Republican?
