5. Hi LitttleClarkie
I've been reading and agreeing with your posts and others' in this group. I just became a donor and got my star, so now I can post here, too!

I'm another JK fan--he's the first candidate in a long time that I totally trusted and felt like working for, and I did work for the last two months for our local campaign headquarters here in Wisconsin. Right now the only other one I'd say I fully trust is Jimmy Carter.

Losing the election does feel like a death--because it is the death of a particular vision, one where John Kerry would be president and begin to fix what's wrong with this country. So it's been hard to take, and I've been depressed like so many of you have. The cure is to find a way to hope that things will be able to get better through other means. Already, there seems to be a conspiracy to get Rumsfeld out. But the war against Bushco isn't going to be easy.

In a way, though, knowing that the election was stolen, again, lets me still believe in America as a whole--that we haven't really bought the party line being fed to us by the media. Small comfort, maybe, but it's better than feeling like we are an alien species in our own country. The only reason Bush has been and (probably) will be president in the next term is because they were crooks:
1) a dirty, lying, smearing campaign
2) deliberate voter suppression
3) election fraud--rigging the machines
4) post-election spin about "values" to confirm Bush in the minds of the public.

John Kerry was a great candidate, as was Al Gore. But the system needs to be fixed. I'm never going to blame the victims, only the perpetrators.
