I don't believe this "Elder Statesman" bullshit the old Reagen crew has been trying to pull. Like they were interested in protecting civil rights and never pandered to the fringe. The only thing that kept Saint Ronnie even a little bit in line is that there was oversight. If that would have been removed who knows how many wars his fascist ass would have started.
