Israeli Troops Trapped In Baalbek Hospital

BEIRUT (AP)--Israeli commandos were trapped inside a Baalbek hospital early Wednesday, fighting fierce clashes with guerrilla fighters who surrounded the facility in the eastern Lebanese city, the chief Hezbollah spokesman told The Associated Press.

"A group of Israeli commandos was brought to the hospital by a helicopter. They entered the hospital and are trapped inside as our fighters opened fire on them and fierce fighting is still raging," Hezbollah spokesman Hussein Rahal told AP.

The Israeli military refused to comment.
