I went to see Amy Goodman of Democracy Now tonight at the Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor (She was incredible, by the way!). Afterward, I went across the street to Borders, where she was signing copies of her new book.
Anyway, I was sitting in a couch not too far from Goodman reading, waiting for the line to shorten when I overheard this really stooopid girl from the statewide College Republicans group bitching about how the University of Michigan tossed her off campus for protesting "baby killer" Sen. Debbie Stabenow's appearance (complete bullshit, I'm sure), how the College Republicans at U-M were wimpy and wouldn't support her, and how Republicans are totally discriminated against at U-M and all over Ann Arbor.
Then she told the two people she was talking to that she was leaving to go participate in an "Illegal Immigrant" football game sponsored by the College Republicans. If the immigrant team was to lose, they would get "deported," she said, laughing out loud.
Can you believe these apes?
