We would be upholding the Constitution. It's our duty for God sakes! Placing politics before this would be a huge loser!
Besides, the media will beat up on us no matter what we do. Doing what the media wants us to do is stupid and cowardly, when it comes to protecting our civil rights.
Another thing is we need to stand firm with Freedom of Choice, and gay rights. What kind of message do we all send each other by playing nicey nice with these criminals.
Compromising on a fundamental principal is caving in. Be strong and we will look strong.
