PHILADELPHIA, PA, United States (UPI) -- Pennsylvania researchers are documenting brain functioning when Pentecostals engage in glossolalia, or so-called speaking in tongues.

U. Penn School of Medicine researchers said Tuesday they have discovered decreased activity in the frontal lobes, an area of the brain associated with being in control of one`s self.

Maybe this is why some kids undergoing Pentecostal exorcisms sometimes die, Could it be because to speak in tongues which is often done during exorcisms ,Pentecostals really do give up their inner locus of control, and just like voodoun practitioners being rode by a loa, they become "possessed" themselves and lose control, lose their ego,and kill..This finding is revealing, frightening and eerily true because as an ex Pentecostal I know it is true, that giving up control is WHY people in these types of belief systems want to have tongues ,it is a sign one has given the reins of self control to "god" and submitted. But is it God they are submitting to or something else, how could they know,as they babel-on, they just lost control...?
Christians still debate this tongues issue. In brownsville they barked like dogs..What are the effects of a heart song in the brain? a Chant?, a sing song political speech?.Gotta wonder..
