big money is to be made from government contracts so the media has to keep where the money flows from happy which in this case is the government.
For many MSM venues it's about making BIG money and not actually about journalistic integrity any longer. Sadly truly "independent news" is an endangered species and it's getting increasingly difficult to figure out what is factual and what is spin and/or pure horse puckey.
