There is no question that he still pushes that boulder uphill in Philly is because he has zero competition in that area here... if your dog wanted to be a right wing nut on the airwaves here, Mikey would be back in his old office (which he still has) lawyering full time again because even your dog would generate more interest then him. I almost feel sorry for him because once his face time with Tweety comes to an end, that'll be it for him... and Mikey will be utterly and completely crushed, yet he'll continue slogging away because he's just one of those people that needs recognition so badly. No doubt in my mind that if he thought he could do it, he'd try to become a rock star... even though he has no more interest in music then he does in politics. Mikey just wants to be famous... period.
