17. The Dem Party has a rich History of supporting what is best for the
Common Good

I would characterize the Party as The Positive Force and the Republicans as the Negative Force.

If we read the Party's background....I am sure you will concur.

Have you run for High Office previously? If so, you have 10 miles to catch up. But its not impossible. Its been done before.

As a Dem, you should be aware of our History/Goals/Direction/etc. Take the time to read..you won't regret it

As a candidate, take us on a trip with your words, give us HOPE, Inspire us, Teach us, Inform us, Show us why we should BELIEVE in you AND the DEM PARTY>

If you have to, get not one but 2 or 3 speech people on the staff. Get a very good speech writer to accentuate the Goodness in Mankind....we already know the bad stuff...Bush is always telling us what we already know...in a condescending manner at that. Please, for your own good, avoid the Bush approach.

As a man, read, read, read. Learn different subjects in many areas as best as you can. Time? Make the time...whatever you do, people will be using Bush as a joke when it comes to knowing things...for fast track...use GOOGLE...from Mango's to cows, from Global warming to Carpentry, learn city planning, energy usage, etc.

Make your own buzz word lexicon. Benevolence, Generosity, Helping, teaching by examples, pro-to types, proving grounds, Altruism, Liberalism, Sharing, Caring, etc...the Positive side of things

Learn to use a few tools to avoid the Bush Photo op gurly man thing( I know I know) its a habit. put some callouses on your hands.
go pound a few dozen nails, cut a few pieces of wood...and use the tape measure, lol.

Above all, your basic philosophy will emerge during these next 7 months and a few days. If you have intellect, a reservoir of wit,
timing, knowledge, humor, you prolly will have better odds.

Then, last, make learning YOUR priority not someone else's. Sure, you need researchers etc but...it would be best to arouse the curious part of your brain to do it yourself...this way, you avoid the Bush Syndrome...Go read his speeches...he is always being TOLD what to say...comes off as stupid.

There ya have it my friend...If ya want it, ya gatta pull up the pants and GO GET IT.

Opi
