Funniest Wingnut Commentary On Delay

For your delight and delectation. From Scrutator:

"It’s happened again. The loony left and their attack dogs in the liberal media have driven another good man from office. Of course, we’ve seen this all before with Senator McCarthy and President Nixon; in the latter case, the Democrats’ coup helped lead to a disastrous civil war in Cambodia. I don’t think the consequences will be quite as severe this time, with DeLay, but certainly this isn’t good.

But, mark my words, you haven’t seen the last of ole Tom . When the circus that is the Ronnie Earle investigation leaves town, DeLay will be free, fully exonerated, and ready to seek office again, perhaps this time as a Senator or Governor.

Here’s the original news story on DeLay’s retirement (via Blogs For Bush). Make no mistake: DeLay took one for the team here. With the shadow of the Earle circus hanging over him, ole Tom had a tough reelection fight and with the climate of left-inspired Bush hatred that is engulfing American politics, this is race we can’t afford to lose."
