For Liberals it would be seen as a strength to admit you're wrong; but conservatives believe that if you change your mind, you're flip-flopping. And since Bush doesn't pay attention to the news or read polls, it's his Neocon advisors who can pump him up into believing he's a leader if he stays the course.

That means that only a very loud and incessant media can break the firewall that he's living behind. Without the media, his Admininistration will just wind down through a process of a thousand cuts, extending our agony.
