Reply #24: the TRUTH . . . and getting it to the American people . . .

in a way they will understand, think about, and ultimately accept . . .

I'm more convinced than ever that if the American people knew the TRUTH about BushCo and what's REALLY happening in this country and in the world, they'd flock to the Democratic party in record numbers . . .

getting the truth out involves two things: first, acknowledging and articulating the truth, no matter how disturbing it may be; and second, getting the truth to the American people in a way they will listen to and believe . . .

because of political and financial considerations, politicians will generally NOT tell the truth about most everything . . . the only one who's even making an attempt is John Conyers, and his range of issues, while critical, is limited . . . but who in the Congress is going to speak up, loudly and forcefully, about things like 9/11, stolen elections, the illegality of the war, Fallujah, depleted uranium, PNAC, American imperialism, the true state of the economy and the budget, etc.? . . . and, most especially, the undue (and highly destructive) influence of corporations and their lobbyists on all three branches of government? . . .

how do we get the truth to the American public when politicians won't acknowledge it and the media won't report it? . . . THAT's what we need to focus on . . .

whenever the truth IS spoken these days, it's usually in some isolated forum or publication, and it generally has a life of a day or two . . . we MUST do much, much better than that . . . because only the truth will set us free . . . (yeah, is cliche -- but it's also 100% true) . . .
