4. Boo hoo, they're so *oppressed*...

The Gentle Revolution is making its way toward Jackson, Mississippi, this year, July 15-22, 2006. Pro-life leaders from across our nation will be joining us at the “last abortion mill ” in the state of Mississippi. We will be storming the gates of hell in the strong Name of Jesus Christ. Little did any of us know, as we ran to the roar to help those devastated by Hurricane Katrina in Mississippi and Louisiana, that God was preparing us to return to Mississippi to deal with an even more deadly foe – Abortion!

"Peaceful Christians Arrested and Detained Across Jackson, Signs and Cross Taken
Monday morning as Christians began to hold signs and share the gospel of Christ at the overpass police descended in force. Jackson police are claiming a permit from the city is required in order to exercise First Amendment rights of free speech and assembly on public sidewalks. Cal Zastrow and Ken Scott were arrested and taken to jail. Meanwhile at the Jackson abortion clinic gentle Christians Cliff Powell, Tonya Britton, Harriet Ashley, Ed Martin and Ester Mann were similarly arrested, all for the “crime” of holding signs and assembling on a public sidewalk without a permit from the city. Attorneys from the American Family Association's Center for Law and Policy are seeking a restraining order against the Jackson police department to stop this blatant unconstitutional assault on Christians' rights. Please pray and look for further news to come both here and on the Jackson web site (click above link)."
