85. My Father, WWII, Korea Vet
Spent his life serving his country. West Point, class of 1941, Africa 1942, Sicily, Italy, 1943, France, Germany 1944 - 1945. Saw Dachau firsthand. Army of occupation 1946. Korea, 1952 - 1953. Korea, Army of occupation 1954 - 1955.

Knew all along what he was fighting for -- Democracy, the Constitution, Freedom. Eventually despised the Vietnam war and the waste of "good young patriotic American lives being wasted". Nixon was the last Republican he ever voted for in 1960 (NOT 68 or 72). He says he regretted that 1960 vote. A strong supporter of the (then) liberal Supreme Court and individual rights -- "that's what I fought for".
