arrrgh! my friend in new jersey is voting for kean

she called me in florida for the first time in a long time.
after spending time complaining the stress of her job, and
the fact they've cut her vacation time, we started to talk
about the election. she said, "i can't vote for menendez -
"i hate him - he's a criminal - can't stand the LOOK of him."

i was in shock. i asked who said he was a criminal, are you
making your choice based on TELEVISION COMMERCIALS from kean?
i mentioned how lousy christine whitman was. whether she thought
she was better off than six years ago re vacation time and job
prospects. no dice.

i am very sad. my friend is not the brightest bulb in the
closet, but i can't believe how lightly she's taking this
(to me) earth-shattering decision...

i have a hard time trying to continue a friendship because
of this. i guess i'll have to work it out later...
