62. Schedule 14A-12
http://sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/93751/000126891106000035/meetingdatechange.htm

Patrick is amending his demand for a special stockholders meeting and asking that it be held on Feb. 16, 2007., prior to the annual meeting in April.

He also informs all shareholders that he is soliciting their proxy or consent to vote on their behalf at the February special meeting. (Not sure that I have these terms exactly correct -- This is not my field at all.)

Patrick advises all State Street shareholders that he will publish (before the Feb. 16 meeting) a proxy or consent statement publicly which will be available online at sec.gov. (I think that is where he will enumerate his reasons for requesting their proxy or consent.)

At least I think that's what it says.

My understanding of proxy/consent is that since most people don't go to an annual or special meeting, they are asked, usually by a director or management, to turn over their voting rights to a representative who will vote their shares for them.

(still hoping that all is well with these two!)
