And we have to start that drumbeat by calling our reps, EVERY DAY. There are TOLL FREE numbers to the Capitol Hill switchboard in my sig line.

I swear to God, it's true: "if they think you don't care, THEY WON'T, EITHER." November seventh provided AMPLE evidence that we DID care. And the Democrats need to be reminded, often, and with feeling, that they got where they are now (back in power) BECAUSE WE CARED. Now, they ignore what we cared about AT THEIR PERIL.

And they need to be reminded of this - CONSTANTLY. Otherwise they'll assume we all forgot and went back to sleep, and they'll capitulate because they'll think we don't care.

You haven't stopped caring, have you? I certainly haven't. And I didn't work my butt off promoting Democrats in November - just to have this shit continue as it has. The republi-CONS were bounced FOR A REASON. If people liked the war or approved of it even begrudgingly or were even slightly okay with the shit-ass job bush has been doing - on the war and everything else, the republi-CONS would STILL be in power at this very moment.
